The restaurant houses Holland's largest building, De Rotterdam. This vertical city is designed by Rem Koolhaas. The building, its unique construction and arrangement, its culinary qualities and the view over the Maas and Erasmus Bridge together make this restaurant into a culinary hotspot.

In the 2018 edition of Dutch restaurant guide 'Lekker' HMB Restaurant climbed four spots on the list of the 500 best restaurants in The Netherlands to spot number 52. In the first year, only 9 months after opening its doors, HMB Restaurant entered the list on spot number 60. HMB Restaurant also got a mention in the Guide Michelin 2018.
